The Great Reletivity Show

An Einstein Year website, www.thegreatrelativityshow.com, won a special award in December for the most humorous presentation in the Pirelli Relativity Challenge, an international competition to find the best multimedia explanation of special relativity.

The Great Relativity Show
is an interactive journey through special relativity, featuring a humorous dialogue between an animated Einstein character and his glamorous assistant Mimi. These characters first appeared in four short films on Channel 4 earlier this year.

The Institute of Physics worked with Fulcrum TV, who produced the films, to make a website version, with additional explanatory text.

The Pirelli Foundation launched the Relativity Challenge to mark World Year of Physics 2005. It runs alongside their annual Internetional Award for the best science communication using multimedia technology.
