Ireland
Events will be organised all over Ireland, North and South, to help raise the awareness of physics in local communities. In addition to larger scale national projects, local events will be organised by individuals, science societies, universities, community groups and teachers. There are ideas and support packs for organisers in Get involved. If you are running your own event, don't forget to add it to the events database (instructions are in the Get Involved section).
To find out what events are going on near you, see the events database. You can search the database by town, region or keyword.
Here are some events that are taking place throughout Ireland:
- Lab in a Lorry - Experience real experimental physics as the lorries tour Northern Ireland in May and June & the Republic Ireland in September. See all tour dates, venues and contacts at http://ireland.iop.org/labinalorry.html.
- BA Festival of Science is in Dublin on 3-10 September 2005. There will be a Physics Section programme of lectures and outreach events.
To find out more about events throughout the UK and Ireland, see that What's On section and the events database.
